About Clockfresh time tools

Clockfresh is a small suite of online time tools: timer, alarm clock, stopwatch, countdown, and clock. The product goal is simple: make the tools fast enough to open instantly, calm enough to leave on screen, and reliable enough for everyday use.

What makes it different

The tools use real clock time instead of counting interval ticks, so a backgrounded tab or a delayed animation frame does not make the timer drift. The interactive parts are small Astro islands on static pages, which keeps the site light and easy to cache.

Clockfresh is also built as an installable web app. After a first visit, the core tools can open offline. Alarms and timers use browser notifications and wake lock where the platform allows it, while clearly documenting the web limit: a fully closed tab cannot fire later. Finish alerts ring until dismissed on the alarm and timer; every tool has a Repeat setting (once, 3 times, or until stopped) remembered in your browser.

Privacy and the current free service

There are no accounts, no login wall, and no personal profiles, and the site is ad-free. We use Google Analytics for aggregate usage measurement only (no ads, no advertising profiles); in the EU, UK and Switzerland it loads only after you allow it in the consent banner. Timer counts down a duration you set (5 minutes, 1 hour) — presets, +1:00 adjustment, fullscreen, and 15 finish sounds.
Alarm clock for fixed time-of-day reminders with snooze and selectable sounds.
Stopwatch for laps, splits, fullscreen mode, and CSV export.
Countdown counts to a specific date and time (a launch, an exam) — evergreen event pages and persistent finish alerts.
Clock for a clean digital clock with 12/24-hour mode.
Chess clock for alternating two-player time with Fischer increment, fullscreen and large touch controls.

Choose a display mode

Mode	What to expect
Fullscreen	Enlarges the tool on the current display where the browser supports fullscreen. Escape leaves it. Check readability on your actual projector.
Floating window	The floating-window button appears only when the browser supports Document Picture-in-Picture. It shows the same live tool above other windows; closing it returns the tool to its page.
Mini widget	The small timer widget follows a running session between Clockfresh pages. It stays inside the website, rather than above other applications.
Offline after caching	Open the needed tool online first. Cached pages can reopen offline; a page or asset that was not cached still needs a connection.

Keep the page open and the device awake for alerts. A recovered display does not prove a sound played during sleep. Test sound and permissions on the device you will use.

What was checked

5 September 2026: automated interface checks in the Codex browser on macOS; responsive layout checks in headless Chrome at 390 px.

A running five-minute timer restored on a ten-minute page with its duration and status explained. Pause and the explicit page-preset action synchronized across two tabs.
The sleep calculator initially showed 9 h and 7 h 30 min; shorter comparisons appeared only after selection, with a duration warning.

Scope: visible controls and calculated results. Audible sound, notifications, locked-screen delivery, installed apps and real phones were not verified by this check.
