Editorial Policy
Clockfresh publishes tool pages and practical timing guides. This page documents the standards behind them, so you can judge how much to trust what you read here.
Sourcing
- Guides that make factual claims cite their sources in a visible Sources checked section (for example, MDN documentation for browser behavior and public health references for sleep-cycle durations).
- Claims about how browsers throttle timers, audio, and notifications are grounded in documented platform behavior, and the tools themselves are built around those limits.
- Comparison pages state the date the competitor's features were checked and link to the competitor directly.
Claim safety
- We do not claim a browser alarm will ring if the tab, browser, or device is unavailable. Alarm and timer pages state the honest limits and recommend a native device backup for anything critical. See the reliability and browser-limit policy.
- The sleep calculator presents planning estimates, not medical advice, and we avoid medical claims site-wide.
- We do not fabricate ratings, reviews, or testimonials in page content or structured data.
Review and updates
- Every guide shows its published and last-reviewed dates. The machine-readable
dateModifiedin each article's structured data reflects when the content last meaningfully changed. - Guides are re-reviewed when browser behavior changes, when readers report an issue, or during scheduled content passes.
- Corrections: factual errors are fixed in place; if a correction changes a guide's advice, the updated text says so. Report errors via the contact form.
Translations
English is the source language. Pages under /es, /pt, /it, /ru, /fr, and /de are translated with machine assistance and reviewed in priority order driven by real usage. If a translation reads wrong, please report it — corrections ship quickly.
Tooling assistance
Drafting and code assistance may involve AI tools. Every published claim, number, and comparison is checked by the maintainer before it ships, and the sourcing and claim-safety rules above apply regardless of how a draft was produced.
